Caixa Forum Sevilla Competition
+ Caixa Fourum Sevilla. Cruz y Ortiz arquitectos, Year 2009
Cruz y Ortiz arquitectos were invited to participate in the international contest for the Caixa Forum Sevilla in the Reales Atarazanas. The proposal is a new series of roofs that will cover the porticos from listed maritime building. The geometry of the shelter drags you to the top of the building where the main exhibition space is situated and the screening rooms. The arcades from the basement and the plan remains intact as a common ground for all the visitors to the cultural complex.

Proyecto realizado durante mi colaboración en el estudio de Cruz y Ortiz. El prestigioso estudio sevillano fue invitado a participar en un concurso restringido para convertir las Reales Atarazanas de Sevilla en un nuevo centro cultural Caixa Forum. La propuesta dejaba la planta baja del edificio libre como un gran espacio porticado que servía de gran antesala al museo. La geometría de las cubiertas ayudaban a conducir al visitante a subir a la primera planta donde se desarrollaba todo el programa de salas de proyección y exposición.
